    Partnership to End Animal Abuse

We recently partnered with a great new organization called Generation Awakening.  Their mission is to serve as a platform for individuals and organizations to come together to work with each other and governments on the most pressing issues of our generation.

"We strive to be the movement of our generation, igniting passion and inspiration to create tangible and lasting change in our world."

    ONE PLACE. TEN CHANGES.

Generation Awakening launches creative, focused campaigns in collaboration with other organizations for the greater good of humanity, animals and our earth. With pooled resources and the power of numbers, solutions are implemented faster and more effectively.

We came up with the saying "Kiss Don't Kill"  and put it on a comfy women's tank top.  The tank is a reminder to have compassion for all living things and respect for the earth will lead to cultivating a more peaceful world.

Memorial Day Mission Trip to Mexico

Last Memorial Day the Team at Inspired Emotion jumped on board to serve in Mexico with the Ranch Church.  We packed the Inspired Van with people and started the trek to Tijuana and Rosarito.

Check out the video of the trip to get a feel of what it was all about.

We headed down thursday after work to San Diego picking up two more people in Westlake and Studio City to complete the team.  We stayed in a hotel next to the border and woke up early the next morning to cross into Mexico.

Day 1 was great!  We headed to Vista Del Valle to help stucco a church and drove around the area to visit some individuals that were truly in need.  Vista Del Valle is a new up and coming town outside of Tijuana.  I guess the government had a modern day land grab so people could build there shacks on their own small plot of land.  The area is growing fast so it was time to build a bigger church.  Visiting some of these people in need was truly heartbreaking.  One guy was shot in the neck and as a result was paralyzed basically from the neck down.  He was stuck in a room with a broken down wheel chair and not much to do.  We told him we would find a wheel chair and some sort of music player.  He was stoked.

Part of our team was in charge of stucco, another couple guys build an awning on a house with a new born, and the rest of us helped out at the local feeding program.  This was fun because after the kids ate we got to play with them and have some hula hoop competitions.  After a long day we headed off to Rosarito to our compound and later to Manuals for some unbelievable tacos.

Day 2 was spent at a local orphanage where the Ranch Church has been key in helping and sustaining.  The kids were great!  Right when we got there we immediately got involved with some playground basketball and soccer.  Our team loved this.  Soon after we loaded the kids up in the vans and headed to the park in central Tijuana.

This park was super cool, it had a zoo, go carts, carnival type rides, climbing walls, and other fun.  A guy selling cotton candy just happen to be walking by when we entered so we bought each of the 40+ kids one.  The cotton candy guy must have though he won the lottery.

We each took two kids and had a blast running around the park (literally running).  We were told the last time the kids got to go there was over two years ago so they were fired up!  An unbelievable lunch of bbq pizzas was served, then some more fun before taking the kids back and saying our goodbyes.

It's amazing how close you can get with a kid you hangout with for just one day.  These kids are truly special and actually really well behaved.  The director of the orphanage is the perfect guy for the job.  The kids love him and he is the role model they need.  Our mission is to inspire individuals to take action in their lives and be positive role models for others.  This man is living the Inspired Emotion mission.

So I hope our experience and video can inspire you to get involved next time.

    Dream Big for Dodgeball

We are a little late with this blog post but we had to share our experience in a local dodgeball league.  Every wednesday night for four weeks, 8 teams got together to huck balls at each other and it ended in a big tournament and pizza party.

Team "Dream Big" and "Livin' the Dream" represented well.  Dream Big had a couple injuries before the tournament and was knocked out early.  Team Livin the Dream showed a lot of heart and made it to the finals but couldn't pull thru in the end.  You tend to forget how fun dodgeball is until you get back on the court, most of us haven't seen a dodgeball court since grade school.

Check out our little video from the tournament.

We want to thank our teams for representing Inspired Emotion in a fun positive environment  and we want to thank Buellton rec for putting this all together.

    Collaboration with BlackBirdRevival

Recently we started discussing the idea to get artists involved in designing shirts.  This collaboration would obviously get us new, fresh designs and looks but it is also an opportunity to showcase the talents of artists all over the world.

In exchange for a piece of inspiring art, we hook you up with a full artist bio on the product page with pictures and website links to the artists work.

Our first attempt was with a self taught artists named Cecily Furlong.  She has a unique style that has really caught our eye on instagram.  She doesn't just draw a picture and call it good but she adds crystals, feathers, sometimes animal skulls and other items in the presentation of the picture.  It's really cool!  Her name is awesome too, she calls it the BlackBirdRevival.

"Welcome to the world of BlackBirdRevival where I live, breathe, and dream art. Creativity is vitality. This is what I do, and I love it!"

"I am a married mother-of-two who loves art, crafts and all varieties of creativity. I live in the lovely Central Coast of California where everyday is an inspiration. As a self-taught artist I try as much as possible to draw from the beauty that surrounds me."

We pitched an idea to draw an awesome looking tree and she came up with this circular design.  Our team had the perfect saying to incorporate into the design "As above, so below.  As within, so without"  There are several different interpretations of this saying and we have adopted the Law of Attraction meaning.

"As above, so below, As within so Without"  You basically create your life through your thoughts.

Everything that’s coming into your life you are attracting into your life.  As above, so below, As within, so Without.  Whatever you are thinking most about, you bring about.
